Godzilla vs. Kong

By Oliver Green

The release of the new monster movie Godzilla vs. Kong sparked fierce debate about which monster would emerge victorious. Due to the commercial success and appreciation this movie gained, many movie studios are searching for the next action movie match-up that will get audiences excited. Here are some of the new movie match-up pitches Warner Brothers has received in the past few weeks, and the proposed outcomes.

The Creature From the Black Lagoon vs. The Gerber Baby

Outcome: It will be a close call, but ultimately the Gerber Baby’s knowledge of the A-B-Cs and nutritional baby meals will allow the baby to triumph over the menacing Creature.

Puss In Boots vs. A 53-Year-Old George Clooney

Outcome: While many may expect the former Ocean's Eleven actor to easily triumph over the 2-foot-tall (with boots on) cat, this fight will turn out to be a Boots Blowout ©. In the end, Clooney’s reckless overconfidence and Puss’ superior swordsmanship will lead to the acclaimed actor’s downfall.

Huey, Dewey, and Louie vs. Optimus Prime

Outcome: Though Optimus Prime outweighs the three duck triplets by a ratio of 40,000:1, the ducks’ penchant for mischief (combined with just a dash of tomfoolery) will allow them to mess so much with Optimus’ mind that he eventually self-destructs.

The Cast of the 1983 Movie The Outsiders vs. The 2016-17 Golden State Warriors

Outcome: With both groups being pretty stacked teams, the outcome of this battle won’t be decisive. Though the cast made up of Ralph Macchio, Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, and Tom Cruise may have the charm factor, they just won’t be able to match the versatile basketball dominance and small-ball skills of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Andre Igoudala, and Draymond Green.
